نویسنده
چکیده
Cosmological consequences of adding the Cold Dark Matter (CDM) to the exactly solvable stringy Dark Energy (DE) model are investigated. The model is motivated by the consideration of our Universe as a slowly decaying D3-brane. The decay of this D-brane is described in the String Field Theory framework. Stability conditions of the exact solution with respect to small fluctuations of the initial value of the CDM energy density are found. Solutions with large initial value of the CDM energy density attracted by the exact solution without CDM are constructed numerically. In contrast to the ΛCDM model the Hubble parameter in the model is not a monotonic function of time. For specific initial data the DE state parameter wDE is also not monotonic function of time. For these cases there are two separate regions of time where wDE being less than −1 is close to −1. GENIUS is a proposal for a large volume detector to search for rare events. An array of 40–400 ’naked’ HPGe detectors will be operated in a tank filled with ultrapure liquid nitrogen. After a description of performed technical studies of detector operation in liquid nitrogen and of Monte Carlo simulations of expected background components, the potential of GENIUS for detecting WIMP dark matter,...

We re-examine collisional annihilation of superheavy dark matter particles in dark matter density spikes in the galactic halo as a possible source of ultrahigh energy cosmic rays. We estimate the possible flux in a way that does not depend on detailed assumptions about the density profiles of dark matter clumps. The result confirms that collisional annihilation is compatible with annihilation c...

A very weakly coupled scalar field with mass m and initial vacuum expectation value V will provide enough mass to close the universe provided V ≃ (3 × 10 8 GeV)(100 GeV/m) 1/4. We discuss possible models in which such a field could arise. (a) Electronic address (internet): [email protected].

We present evidence that the simplest particle-physics scalar-field models of dynamical dark energy can be separated into distinct behaviors based on the acceleration or deceleration of the field as it evolves down its potential towards a zero minimum. We show that these models occupy narrow regions in the phase-plane of w and w′, the dark energy equation-of-state and its time-derivative in uni...
